Paul Clark

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Paul; a qualified chartered accountant, was Director of Finance, North America for Trusthouse Forte Hotels. He later joined Richard Branson’s Virgin Group as the Travel Head Of Finance, when Virgin Atlantic only operated two aircraft. During his nine years at Virgin he oversaw a period of rapid growth. He was headhunted to be group FD of a 3,000 room Caribbean all-inclusive hotel company. After “turning around” the Caribbean property, Paul returned to the UK to join Sea Containers Ltd (SCL) as Commercial Director, working closely with James Sherwood (Orient Express Hotels). The company operated the east coast mainline train Gner and Silja; the largest Baltic cruise fleet along with many other global businesses. Richard Branson approached Paul to return to Virgin as CEO of Virgin Hotels. In addition, Paul created his own hotel business, investing originally in eight Luxury Family Hotels, as well as Sheen Falls Lodge in Ireland. He achieved great success with Sheen Falls Lodge, selling at a profit in December 2018. Paul’s current venture is developing the Dehavilland brand; created by the best hospitality team in the business, the aim is to acquire and operate luxury hotels and clubs worldwide.
